April 27 - A New Monday

Keep working hard! We have three more weeks of work to do. You can do it!!! We all can. Why? Because we are amazing. Today you should be able to take the ISIP test. Thanks for doing it. Remember to do your best.

Here is another math game. This one is fun, too. The little girls has a great accent. She must be from Great Britain.

Two Birthdays!

Happy birthday to Cassandra and Austin! I hope your day is great because you are eight!!! Let's get this work done so we can start the weekend.

Thursday - Hip Hooray!!!

 Yesterday we worked on time. Today is just a good review day. We will do some measuring, sentence building, reading, adding, and times-ing. It is going to be awesome! Let's get started.

Have you been practicing the spelling words? The test is on Friday. SpellingCity is a great way to practice. Tomorrow I will give you the code for Quizizz to take the test. 

Here is today's fun math game. I think it is a lot of fun and very easy to set up using your deck of cards. It is Make a Ten Memory.

Time To Work on Time

While you are home learning, I'm here at school learning, too. One of the things I'm trying to learn about is making better videos. Today I learned how to make a video with pictures and music. I will keep trying to make them better. The best things require hard work, patience, and time. Do you think that?

Today we are going to focus on telling time. First, you can watch this crazy video that explains clocks. Then, you can practice telling time with this game. Finally, you can do your packet work.

I've also be learning a lot about teaching math. One of the most important things we can do to learn math is to play. I sent home a deck of cards and some dice with you so you can play some games. I am going to share some videos of math games, too. I'll share one each day. Go ahead and try it.

Polygons! Polygons!

Today we will be working with polygons. Polygons are shapes with straight sides that are closed. Hexagons, pentagons, quadrilaterals, squares, rectangles, and triangles are some of the polygons we have learned about. 

Since we are working with polygons and read about robots, here is a fun art activity for you. You will draw polygons to make a robot. Click here for the robot drawing video. When you finish, I'd love to see your robots.

Really! I'm just so proud of you and the work you are doing. Keep it up! And today is Friday. FRI-YAY! The new packets are ready at the school. There are a few surprises in there. And something else because I think you are sweet and deserve a sweet reward for working so hard. Woot Woot!!!
